Hecate, (Hekate or Hekat) is a goddess of pre-Indo-European origin that was taken up in Greek and Roman mythology, with the genesis antecedent to the Olympic pantheon.
Hesiod, in his Theogony, states that Hecate was the daughter of the two titans Perse and Asteria and dedicates a hymn to the Goddess, in which Zeus grants her supreme glory and power on earth, underworld and heaven, attributing - at the same time - the original rights as a descendant of the primordial deities, including that of granting mortals what they wanted.
Just like the deity, the Hecate knife - a powerful multirole with a tactical vocation - is designed to meet the functional and aesthetic desires of the most demanding users.
The knife, whose design dates back to 2015, was designed by Alessandra De Santis and entirely made in Italy in Limited Edition (100 pieces) on behalf of Hydra Armaments.
The sturdy full-tang fixed knife, has a blade characterized by an aggressive, but at the same time efficient, shape. The blade, made of steel AISI D2 hardened to 59-61 HRC and submitted to cryogenic treatment, is 140 mm long and 6 mm thick, and has a darkwash finish.
The overall length of the knife is 280 mm, for a weight of 425 g.
The ergonomic handle is made up of black G10 scales, with three-dimensional texture, and offers an extremely firm grip on the instrument. The scales are fixed with T20 torx head screws in black stainless steel A2 and stainless steel threaded spacers.
HECATE is equipped with a Kydex sheath shaped on the knife profile. It comes with a belt loop adapter adjustable in height and inclination (with excursion up to horizontal positioning), a clip MOLLE adapter also adjustable, and the adjustment screw for knife retention. On the tip of the sheath has been made a drain hole to facilitate cleaning operations. All screws are in stainless steel and fitted with antivibration.
